
1-Increase the water intake and increase in the frequency os micturition
which is the most common presentation in the disease .
2-Secondary to the increased frequency in micturition the child may
suffer from nocturnal enuresis which is urination during night
3-Secondary infections as skin infection is also common in the diabetic
patients but it is less common than 1 .
4-The child first presentation is usually not the above manifestations
although they are common , the first presentation in about 25% of the cases is
:
Vomiting and abdominal pain and may be dehydration and shock in late
stages , which is known clinically as diabetic ketoacidosis .
